Christening Photography In The Cotswolds
Florence’s christening was extra special for me for so many reasons.
Two years ago, I photographed Ellie & Rupert’s wedding in this very same church in the heart of the Cotswolds. So being asked to come back and capture their daughter Florence’s christening on her first birthday felt like a real full circle moment.
We met on a beautiful morning in Tetbury, and it honestly couldn’t have been a more perfect setting. The same church, the same family, just a whole new chapter.
Christenings are always such a lovely mix of calm, chaos and emotion – and this one had all of it. Florence was an absolute dream, taking everything in while being passed around between family, surrounded by so much love.
It was also really special for me knowing the history here. Standing in the same spot where Ellie & Rupert said their vows, now photographing their daughter being christened… it’s moments like this that remind me why I love what I do.
After the service, everyone headed back to their gorgeous Cotswolds home just down the road for the celebrations. Think beautiful countryside views, relaxed drinks in the garden, and that warm, homely feel that just can’t be replicated.
These are always my favourite parts of the day to photograph. Nothing forced, nothing staged – just real moments with the people who matter most.
From tiny details to big family hugs, the whole day felt so natural and full of life. Exactly how it should be.
I feel so lucky to have been a small part of their story over the years – from wedding day to first birthday.
I honestly couldn’t be happier for them!
If you’re planning a christening in the Cotswolds or Tetbury and want it captured in a relaxed, natural way, I’d love to hear all about it.
