Lania & Sean's Wedding In Wales
Every so often, I get to photograph a wedding that feels completely different to anything I’ve seen before and Lania & Sean’s day in the heart of the Welsh countryside was exactly that. Imagine celebrating love not in a fancy venue or historic barn, but in the childhood home where the groom once learned to ride a bike and spent endless afternoons shooting hoops on the driveway.
The whole wedding took place at Sean’s family home, tucked away among rolling Welsh hills. From morning prep to the late night dancing, everything happened under one roof or, more accurately, in the conservatory and garden!
The ceremony itself was held in the conservatory, bathed in natural light, surrounded by leafy views and the softest pastel decorations. Lania looked stunning, and the whole space felt personal and effortlessly elegant. It wasn’t just a wedding venue, it was a part of Sean’s life story, and that made it incredibly special.
Friends and family travelled all the way from London to join the celebration, turning the garden into a lively, love filled party space. A marquee was set up on the lawn for the reception, strung with fairy lights and dressed in dreamy pastel tones: pink, peach, sage, lilac tying the whole day together.
What really made this day stand out wasn’t just the setting, but the atmosphere. It was so relaxed, full of laughter and nostalgia. At one point, we even played basketball in the same driveway where Sean had spent countless childhood afternoons. Those little moments made it feel less like a formal event and more like the best kind of house party one where everyone felt completely at home.
Lania & Sean’s wedding proved that you don’t need a grand venue to have an unforgettable day. Sometimes, the most unique weddings happen right where the memories began. It was intimate, beautifully personal, and completely theirs and I feel so lucky to have captured it all.
