The Stack House Wedding Photographer | Intimate Wedding in Truro, Cornwall

I've photographed weddings of every size over the years.

Big weddings.

Small weddings.

Everything in between.

But this wedding at The Stack House in Truro, Cornwall was one of the most unique, intimate and special weddings I've ever had the privilege of photographing.

With just 12 guests, stunning Cornish views and a venue unlike anything I've seen before, this day felt less like a traditional wedding and more like a weekend spent celebrating with your favourite people.

And honestly?

I loved every second of it.

The Stack House Wedding Venue in Cornwall

If you've never heard of The Stack House before, you're not alone.

Hidden away near Truro, this incredible property is part luxury holiday home, part intimate wedding venue and completely unforgettable.

The venue offers breathtaking views across the Cornish coastline, beautiful outdoor spaces and a relaxed atmosphere that immediately makes everyone feel at home.

It's the kind of place where you can spend an entire weekend together rather than just a few hours.

And for couples looking for an intimate wedding venue in Cornwall, it's hard to imagine a better setting.

Every corner felt like a photo opportunity.

The hidden gardens.

The sea views.

The outdoor spaces.

The fairy lights.

It genuinely felt like stepping into a film set.

A Relaxed Morning at The Stack House

One of my favourite things about this wedding was how relaxed everything felt from the very beginning.

There was no rushing around.

No stress.

No strict timelines.

Just family and friends enjoying a beautiful weekend together.

Guests had travelled all the way from Oxford and Bristol to spend the weekend in Cornwall and the atmosphere felt more like a family holiday than a wedding morning.

There were games being played.

A few beers being enjoyed.

Lots of laughter.

And while all of that was happening, Sinead was getting ready upstairs surrounded by the people she loves most.

A Hidden Garden Wedding Ceremony

As the ceremony approached, everyone made their way down the steps towards the hidden gardens.

And honestly, it was stunning.

Tucked away from the main house, the ceremony space felt completely private and incredibly romantic.

Fairy lights were strung throughout the garden and the entire setting felt magical.

The registrars arrived.

Guests took their seats.

The excitement started building.

Then before long, the ceremony was underway.

With only 14 guests present, every moment felt personal.

Every smile mattered.

Every word carried meaning.

It was one of those ceremonies where you could genuinely feel the love in the air.

Confetti, Celebrations and Incredible Food

After the ceremony came one of my favourite parts of the day.

Confetti.

Lots of it.

Followed by plenty of laughter and celebrations.

The newlyweds spent time with their guests while enjoying the incredible Cornish sunshine and taking in the views from the venue.

Then came dinner.

And wow.

Instead of a traditional wedding meal, they had a private chef preparing food right in front of everyone.

It felt incredibly personal and added even more to the intimate atmosphere of the day.

The food looked amazing.

The conversations flowed.

And everyone simply enjoyed being together.

Exactly how a wedding should feel.

Emotional Speeches and Unforgettable Views

The speeches were one of the highlights of the day.

Heartfelt.

Emotional.

Funny.

Everything you hope wedding speeches will be.

There were tears.

There was laughter.

And plenty of moments that reminded everyone exactly why they were there.

Celebrating two people who are completely perfect for each other.

Wedding Photos at The Stack House

The couple portraits were an absolute dream.

Sinead and David completely trusted me and were happy to embrace every idea.

And with views like The Stack House offers, we were spoiled for choice.

Every direction offered another incredible backdrop.

The coastline.

The gardens.

The surrounding landscape.

The evening light.

The venue itself.

There seemed to be endless opportunities for beautiful wedding photographs.

The result was a gallery full of genuine moments, natural laughter and photos that truly reflected who they are.

The boys enjoyed cigars.

Friends and family laughed together.

Everyone made the most of the incredible weather and beautiful surroundings.

And that's what I'll remember most about this wedding.

Not a packed schedule.

Not elaborate traditions.

Just people enjoying every moment.

A beautiful venue.

And a wedding day that felt completely true to them.
