Summer Wedding at Kingscote Barn
If you’re dreaming of a summer wedding in the heart of the Cotswolds, let me tell you about this absolute vibe of a wedding I recently photographed at the stunning Kingscote Barn. Nestled in the rolling hills and surrounded by wildflower meadows and endless countryside views, this venue never fails to impress and this July wedding was no exception.
Getting Ready at Kingscote Barn
One of the best things about Kingscote Barn is that you can have everything in one place, no hopping between locations or stressing about transport. The girls and the guys both got ready on site, which meant a relaxed morning filled with laughter, music, and lots of Prosecco! There’s something so special about capturing both sides of the prep in such a beautiful setting.
The bridesmaids looked incredible, each wearing a different colour and style of satin dress, which added a pop of personality and elegance to the day. I’m obsessed with this trend, and honestly, it just worked so well against the backdrop of Kingscote’s stone walls and lush gardens.
Outdoor Ceremony with Breathtaking Cotswold Views
The ceremony took place outside, and wow—what a view. Kingscote Barn offers one of the most picture perfect ceremony spots in the Cotswolds, and with July sunshine lighting up the hills behind them, it was pure magic. The couple said their vows surrounded by their closest family and friends, with the sound of nature all around them. It doesn’t get much more romantic than that.
A Wedding That Broke the Rules (In the Best Way)
What I loved most about this day? The couple totally made it their own. No wedding cake. No first dance. And guess what? It was amazing. The energy throughout the day was electric. From the moment the ceremony ended, the vibe was full joy, full fun, full celebration.
So often couples feel like they have to tick every box of tradition but this wedding was a reminder that your day should be about you and what makes you happiest. Want to skip the cake and spend more time on the dance floor (or at the bar)? Go for it. Not keen on the spotlight of a first dance? Scrap it. Kingscote Barn is the perfect setting for a personalised wedding day, and this couple proved that doing it your way is always the best way.
Golden Hour Goals at Kingscote Barn
Just when we thought the day couldn’t get any better, the couple snuck away for a golden hour photoshoot—and oh my gosh, it was a dream. That soft, golden Cotswolds light, paired with the rolling hills around Kingscote Barn, gave us the most stunning backdrop.
They were totally themselves goofy, fun, and full of love and energy. We laughed the entire time, and the photos turned out beautifully candid and warm. It’s always such a joy to capture couples being completely in the moment, just soaking in that “we just got married” feeling.
Why Kingscote Barn is the Dream Cotswolds Wedding Venue
From a photography point of view, Kingscote Barn ticks every box. Golden-hour light? Tick. Scenic ceremony space? Tick. Rustic stone buildings, lush greenery, and charming details at every turn? Big tick. It’s such a versatile space and works beautifully whether you’re planning something traditional, quirky, relaxed or full on glam.
Whether you're planning a summer wedding like this one, or leaning into the romance of a winter celebration, Kingscote Barn in the Cotswolds is one of those venues that just gets it right every time.
